General Project Settings Section

Abstract

Carry out advanced configuration options such as enabling a super user account, under the i4scada Studio General Project Settings section.

The General Project Settings section allows the user to configure some more advanced options for the project. The option to enable the super user account, providing a super user name and a super user password, can help when needing to override the security settings. The option to enable the single user database access is useful when the database needs to be accessed using a single set of credentials.

Tip

For a better understanding of this setting, let's take as an example, a situation where the SQL Server and i4scada Server can be accessed from multiple machines.

When this setting is disabled, multiple users can apply changes to the same project. To avoid conflicts, this setting can be enabled, in order to ensure that one single client has exclusive access to a project. If another user tries to access the project, at the same time, his / her request will be restricted, until the first user exists the visualization.

Note

To enable/disable this setting, the Studio application needs to be restarted.
